Let me tell you another incident which still so fresh in my mind. A lady say Seema had three children aged 2 years, 5 years and 7 years. She lived with her husband who used to go on tours regularly. She had to manage house , office with a girl of 15years to look after the children and a top maid that means a maid to do cleaning jobs.
One day the top servant took leave. She had been instructed by Seema to take leave when Seema had holiday. But that day even though it was a week day the maid servant took leave as she was not well.
Seema came home saw water bottles, tiffin sets lying on the bed. School bags , shoes, socks, school bag, notebooks, pen, colour pencils, drawing book lay all over the house . So much paper balls lying here and there. It looked like house had turned upside down. Uniforms lying here and there.
Utensils in the sink. gas burners all covered with the food gravy. COOKER KEPT OPEN. CHAPATI BOX WAS OPEN. CLOTHES TO WASH WAS LYING IN WASHING MACHINE. FRIDGE BOTTLES WERE LYING SCATTERED AROUND THE HOUSE.
Her head came to a grinding halt. She asked the elderly children aged 5 and 7 years to go down and play. They lived on third floor. She made the child sit on a stool near the sliding window. One of the sliding window was a door opening outside. She did not notice that the window was not latched properly.
She was cleaning the bedroom and the front room was being cleaned by the girl. The child was watching outside. Suddenly the child got up and climbed on the window sill. The door of the window opened and the child flew down.
She cleared the household mess but lost her child because of her carelessness.
Moral of the story is when caught in such tight situations, relaxation and patience is the only pill and also organising the work considering all the pros and cons.
